Best Fried Chicken in Victoria! We were driving around the area today (7/13) and for the first time, we decided to try this... restaurant called Chicken 649 that people have been raving about. We ordered the 1/2 & 1/2 meal. This came with The OriginalCrispy chicken and The Yang Nyeom (Korean Chicken:Just enough Spiciness) ????????So Yummy! The Filipina behind the counter (Iforgot her name ????) was very Professional, Helpful and Friendly. She even helped out an older gentleman to pick up some of hischange, that he had dropped while He was eating his dinner. This place is a bit small and can be crowded at times, but it is ahidden gem. It was my first time trying the Lunch special and I was really impressed by the... cooking and the process of how the chicken thighs and wings were cooked. Cooked in a batter which is a truly unique recipe, thechicken tasted very delicious alongside the complimentary ketchup and mayonnaise sides that came with the order. When I orderedthe lunch special, it came with 6 pieces of chicken alongside 6 or more potato wedges. The chicken and the potato wedges tastedvery delicious, I was very impressed. They use really bad oil to fry the chicken. I have been ordering other korean fried chicken from DT. After keeping the chicken... in fridge for one night, the one from this restaurant smells like dish towel, the other one from another restaurant smells ok.This restaurant uses the cheapest labour and the most batter to get the chicken done. The chopped garlic they use are not freshbut the packed ones from wholesale. Would even give the leftovers to my dog. Good luck running your unethical business. Read more
