Such an exceptional experinece we had here. Very healthy food and fantastic, kind waitress. Won't ever forget how warm, cozy and... convenient was inside. It was my first time in this cozy restaurant and everything was fantastic, the food was delicious we try a few suggestions from... our server and she didn't disappointed us! Excellent! We started with the artfully presented, delicious pickled herring that came with onion, pickle, bread, and very fresh... sour cream. Ukrainian dinner: 2 cabbage rolls, 6 perogies (2 potatoe, 2 yam, and my favorite 2 sauerkraut), Ukraine Sausage withsome killer sweet/hot mustard, and some very refreshing Coleslaw. For dessert we had a Kiev Cake- chocolate mousse wrapped inmeringue. Very different and very yummy. Very reasonably priced for Vancouver. When we walked into this restaurant my husband was transported to his late aunt?s house by the delicious Ukrainian cooking... smells. That alone was worth the visit to the restaurant. We started off on a nostalgic note. We both had the Ukrainian dinner.Mine was the vegetarian version. The vegetarian cabbage rolls were fantastic, but I found I had to think of them as a veggieroll to not compare to what I am used to for a cabbage roll. It?s not a replacement for the original BUT it is tasty and fillingin its own right. Everything was great and total soul food for these kids originally from SK. Right down to the pickle!
