Food poisoning. Yesterday my father in-law and I decided to stop by and try them out. It had only been my 2nd time overall.... This location use to have great quality food and long lineups. Something has obviously changed. My last few visits continue to... confirm that something has changed, the chicken is never fresh, size is smaller and the chicken is extremely dry, almost as ifit's been fried a second time to hide the fact that it's not fresh. This will be my last time spending any money here, as thelast few times have resulted in the food going in the garbage. Another sign is there does not ever to be a lineup anymore, drivethru or in the store. During my last visit I asked them to drop fresh and I would wait, did the quality changed? This is new review in July 21 of 2022, I want to spread my deeply basic dissapoint to the provider or the franchise. We all... knew inflation hit very hard, yet no body mind giving extra bucks for quality we have. Yet I dont get it from This brunch now,I'm being eating their Churchs chicken licking good my finger all time , almost 5 years, including Covid period, and I admit,also recommended this branch to all my friend this is the best Churchs branch in BC compare with some branch that usingovernight oil, or treat customer badly (argh Ha Richmond Branch !) But today, I think I have to step out and point out, Thequality has been change, chicken has been coated instead of marinated, and harden skin is no more juicy. Is it worth me to eatthis? I dont know, at least I tried, and feel bad. It's not the church's chicken I used to know anymore. The previous time Ivisit was just 2 week ago ( 06 July) , and they still have the best chicken so far....I'm not sure why the branch owner make upthis decision. Like I said earlier, I do not mind adding extra bucks for having same quality or churchs chicken, and you guyswho work in the branch are the best (especially oil quality, and gesture), if the owner see this, please change back to theoriginal fried chicken we used to have. We did drive through today. They needed a few more minute for the fries to come out of the fryer, so they asked us to parked on... the side. They brought the food out to our car within a few min. Service was great, and we didn't have to wait long. Church'shad always been our favorite fried chicken joint... However... With their "new and improved" recipe, we felt that it had gonefor the worse. It was way too salty and the skin was not as crunchy as before. We were really disappointed. We were sodisappointed and not really enjoying our meal. It was so bad that we think this may be the last time we would go to church's forfried chicken. There are so many others available with competitive prices and much tastier chicken. Read more
