such a delicious and reasonably priced place! you won't be blown away by their soju, but you will be by their mazesoba aka dry... ramen dishes! everything is absolutely delicious, rich, filling and at such a good price. it's a casual sit down restaurantthat serves their food fast - just like in Japan! The noods come warm with tons of topping, and you get the satisfaction ofmixing all the gooeyness together and putting toppings like vinegar and the japanese spice mix. Definitely get the free rice tosoak up all the saucey goodness at the end. There's so many varieties, you really can't go wrong. On my trip to Vancouver I had to try this place ! They specialize in mazesoba, which is a Japanese style mixed soba where thick... chewy noodles are mixed with toppings and sauce. We tried the Niku Mazesoba and the Tantan Mazesoba. The presentation is nicewith the toppings and egg yolk in the middle. Unfortunately, I wasn?t a big fan of the sauces, I found it to be a little toooily and salty that it gave me indigestion. I did however, like how thick and chewy the noodles were. After your meal they giveyou a bowl of rice to mix the leftover sauce with. When we visited we asked a server if we could switch to a booth seat and hesaid no as it?s for parties of more than 2. However, a couple minutes later a party of 2 was sat there which was a littleupsetting to us. A bonus is that regardless where you sit the decor of the place is very nice. Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba was truly a unique experience, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming once entering. The food... itself is unique and something you wouldn't find everywhere. First time trying broth-less ramen. It was a delicious surprise! Once you mix it with the egg the flavours just blend well- a... little vinegar and spice works for me. You get free small portion rice to eat with remaining sauce and wow a good end to themeal! Have the Orion Draft beer it goes well with it! Read more
