I would give this place no stars if I could. 4th and last time ever coming here. The absolute worst service I've ever... experienced. I've worked in restaurants and have lots of patience for a restaurant that's busy but only when the staff isactually working and competent. Why is it so difficult to seat a few people when there about 10 staff just standing arounddoing nothing. There were maybe 5 tables full in the entire restaurant so they weren't busy. It's like everybody was brand newto their job and there doesn't seem to be any management or even 1 team lead or anything! Took forever to get seated and them toget our order then drinks then 1 hour later got out cold food because they forgot. Never came to ask how our food was or if wewanted a refill, etc. Had to ask someone else for the bill, had to then ask a second person for the bill because they never gotit, then got the wrong bill.. what a joke!! All in all almost 2 hours for 3 people to ear at a non busy restaurant. The absoluteworst service just unacceptable. Would love for management to respond but I see they are not replying to any of the reviews. Noshock there. Save your time and money and literally go anywhere else. Good luck! Of all the White Spot's in the lower mainland the Kerrisdale location is mediocre. Staff always seem to be busy and at times... it's very difficult to find your server. My daughter had the kids pirate pack breakfast and the waffles were borderline burnt. Read more
The service here was a bit below my usual experiences at other White Spot restaurants. Although we were seated in a relatively... high foot-traffic area, it took a while for the server to come around the first time to take our order. Once the food finallycame out, the server never checked in to see how our first bites were, nor did they ask if we need anything else. I had to flagthem down for additional fries and to request the bill. It's not usual to have to be craning my neck around repeatedly lookingfor our server at other locations. We came at 2pm for their happy hour. Their happy hour menu is reasonably priced and is quite big. We had the beef dip, poutine... and coconut popcorn shrimp along with the frozen bellini. The beef dip we told them we were sharing and they were nice enoughto split it into two plates for us. The bread tasted like a stale ciabatta. There was enough beef inside but it tasted a bitdry. The dip itself was MUCH NEEDED. It lacked flavour but it satisfactory for the price. The fries were nice and crispy. Thepoutine didn't have enough cheese curds and the bottom didn't have any gravy sauce on it. But other than that a pretty standardpoutine. The coconut popcorn shrimp was crispy. The taste was okay. The frozen bellinis were quite nice. A bit too sweet butdelicious and goes well with greasy food like this. Overall the standard is what is expected of White Spot and the price isvery reasonable for food nowadays. The service is fast and accommodating. Read more
