The food is amazing. Truly the best Vancouver has to offer. The sauce wasn't acidic, the cheese was stringy and the bread was... fluffy. Prices are above normal but very reasonable for what I would consider the best pizza place in Vancouver. Atmosphere isfine for a bar, but it suffers in such a cramped area, I would have preferred a more traditional restaurant to eat pizza in. Read more
Pizza is very good. Try their Detroit style pizza. Lots of cheese on top and around the crust make for heavy slices, so it can... be easily shared between three people. Their pies are usually cooked well done to a crisp, which can really char up. If that?snot your preference then let them know. Highly recommend their salads and meatball sandwiches too. Read more
We?ve ordered from AJ?s many times because their quality has been consistent; however, the past two times, we?ve received... overcooked, burnt pizza. I prefer not to write negative reviews about restaurants that I enjoy, but after reaching out onsocial media with no response, I felt that this needed to be called out. This is a trendy pizzeria and it seems like they?velost their connection to their customers. We recently order a Detroit Top Pizza. We?ve ordered this pizza on multiple occasionsand it?s been amazing. This time the was super subpar. The cheese skirts were blackened and the under crust was so burnt itwasn?t edible. It?s unfortunate because we?ve always recommended this to our friends as the best pizza spot in the city. Idon?t think I?ll ever order from here again. Again, I wasn?t looking for compensation, although deserved, but the lack ofacknowledgement is what bothers me. Place is awesome. Nice vibe, good staff, wonderful pizza, flavorful meatballs, and the house beer was good too. Got the Detroit... roni red top pizza and meatball trio, neither disappointed. Pizza is almost built on top of a really nice quality focacciabread. The crisp cheese around the edge is great, and adding the sauce on top after the bake keeps everything from getting soggybut you still get all the flavor. Meatballs had a bit of spice but the cheese and sauce topping cuts through it no problem.Great flavor overall and not a tonne of bread filling in the meatball. Wow! The deep dish pizza is like no other pizza we've had in Vancouver. So good. The picture doesn't do it justice. But it's... not just the pizza that makes this place great, the people and service is amazing. The pizza was so heavy that when we took athird piece off the tray flipped and we lost a slice to the floor. The pizza is so good I almost cried. I couldn't believe Iwasn't going to get to have another slice of this fantastic pizza. The table beside us who were regulars said don't worry theywill take care of you. Server came over right away and said we'll replace it. They baked another pizza fresh and replaced ourfloor slices. The pizza is pricey but I wouldn't say over priced as its worth it. Read more
