The food was amazing! We had the Kleftiko which was really soft and tender and well seasoned, and the Keftedes which were well... cooked and tasty! The staff is very kind and welcoming and the restaurant is cozy and clean. Would definitely recommend this toeveryone and we will for sure be back again! Read more
Really good Greek food in Kits. Was pleasantly surprised across the board. The hummus was delicious, with the pita being soft &... warm. The moussaka was phenomenal, but maybe could?ve been bigger in portion sizing. Ekmek was super tasty & a fantastic end asa dessert. Ideally there would be more dish variety. It was a lot of the ?classics? or stereotypical Greek dishes & I alwayslike a place that can offer more range & variety than what might be most touristy. Read more
Our experience here was top notch from beginning to end. We were welcomed and seated quickly. The young waiter serving us was... attentive, polite and ensured we were looked after the entire time. We went for dinner and order a platter for 2... it was so.much food and we took some home. The quality of the food was fresh,... hot and had great flavours in the moussaka, lamb chops, keftekes, dolmades, - basically everything was tasty! It's our go-togreek restaurant now! Overall mixed feelings on Maria's Taverna. The food is really good and the Lamb was excellent. I personally preferred the Hummus... appetizer over the Tzatziki otherwise everything we had was really enjoyable. I did however find the atmosphere a bitdetracting from the experience. The space is long and narrow resulting in there being narrow paths between the three rows oftables. Sitting on the outside of the table along the path resulted in a lot of traffic constantly going by with the serversmoving at a fairly fast pace. This unfortunately detected from the overall dinner experience. Read more
