First time at this location. Oysters are good loved the kushti. Cajun fries are tasty as well!
Really good food, really slow service. It was busy, but by no means full. We got the fried calamari, fries and cajun mussels to... share. We were hungry so asked them to bring the food in whatever order it was made. It took 45 minutes for the food to arrive.The fries were cold, but the calamari and mussels were excellent- very fresh seafood. We asked for more drinks for our food,but they took about 20 minutes and we ended up canceling one drink order as it hadn't arrived by the time we'd finished eating(we don't eat particularly fast). We barely saw our waiter and had to go look for him if we needed something. The waiter servingneighboring tables checked in on us from time to time and I noticed his tables came and went in the time we were there. Wewaited some more for dessert and after dessert we asked for the bill... of course the credit card machine was broken, and thestaff kept telling us they would bring the old-school paper version, but that took a while. These things happen, but by the timewe left, we'd been there for almost 2 hours, spent more time waiting than enjoying the meal and missed a gorgeous sunset- kindof a bummer on my birthday dinner date at Kits beach with my husband. We hosted my daughter's first birthday at their Kits location and it was amazing!! The staff are super friendly. This is a... restaurant owned by a lovely husband and wife (Jamie and Mel) who I had the pleasure of coordinating this event with Mel alsooffers decor/ ballon arch packages that you can coordinate with her for special events. The attention to detail Mel provided wasincredible. I would highly recommend either one of the chewies locations for your next special event. Read more
