Sushi Coen was amazing! It's a small cafe or eatery in Vancouver. There's just one lady who does everything. She is very kind... and polite. I ordered Miso Soup and it tasted great! The salmon bowl was delicious as well, so fresh and tasty! What is more isthe sushi, it was on point! I know it might not be for one's looking for a restaurant type style but trust me you will love thisplace. People on a budget it's great for you too! The lady I got to mention is a darling! Ordered takeout. It’s hard to find bad sushi in this city but…. California rolls had no avocado (as in none at all), with... dried out filling. Beef udon was really lacking flavour to the point of being unenjoyable. Gyoza was average - but will notethat it is deep fried. Hope this helps but I won’t be back to find out. Read more
I signed up at UBC time travel program so I can travel back in time and smack myself in the head bofore ordering from this... restaurant. Absolute disaster, I've never hated myself like this and it was the worst $13.42 I've ever spent in my life ???? VILE to say the least. The “sushi” if we can even call it that looked like it had been prepared by an infant without thumbs.... It practically arrived as a mash of rice with the fillings falling out everywhere, all stuck together in one mushy goop. Thetempura had BLACK WOK GRIME on it evidently from oil that hasn’t been changed since they opened doors. The Gomae had a weirdchemical taste to it and my partner actually had to spit it out (no jokes). All of it felt like we were eating stale leftoversreconfigured as sushi to save cost.
