I visited Greens Vegetarian Restaurant. I got the Pad Thai which came with mock beef. The mock beef was almost indistinguishable... from beef. It tasted almost exactly like gyro meat. The Pad Thai was absolutely amazing and fresh. The service was quite quickand excellent. The restaurant is a nice, small, intimate environment. My experience here has been great and I highly recommendordering the Pad Thai here! Update: Recently, they have reduced the quantity of mock beef that they provide, so I personallywill be asking for extra mock beef if I return and get the Pad Thai, however, overall, the food and the quality is great. A Chinese-Vietnamese restaurant near Kensington Market. Building looks old and rundown from outside, which may deter people from... entering. But inside is clean and nice. Food prices are shockingly low, even when everywhere prices went up. They give hugequality and good quality food. I was not sure how they were able to keep prices low. A great spot overall. The all-vegetarian take on some classic Cantonese restaurant dishes was a nice refresher for someone used... to the meat versions of these dishes. Everything was flavoured nicely, and the texture of the mock meat was great. The portionsare large for more than reasonable prices. The staff are pleasant and this corner lot location makes it a beautiful lunch spoton sunny days, with lots of light shining in through both window-covered walls. Read more
