Good place for a la carte Japanese food on the Danforth. The menu is pretty comprehensive. I thought the kaarage was quite good... but the Katsu was a little bland. The fish is quite nice and is better than AYCE places. Read more
I have been going to this restaurant for years, and have recommended it to other people. Now I recommend you stay far away from... it. The service - both wait staff and kitchen - was incredibly slow. I ordered soft shell crab, but when it arrived it had astrong and horrible smell and tasted worse. The coating for the coconut shrimp was mushy and tasted horrible. Any place can havean "off" night, but what convinced me to never return was after the horrible food and unacceptably slow service, the bill for amodest meal for one person was an eye watering $48.00! Mediocre food and lacklustre service. The miso soup was a bit bland and then everything else was overly salty. The spicy tuna... sushi wasn't rolled snug so when picking it up with chopsticks, it almost fell apart. I will say that the tempura shrimp andveggies were fried to crispy perfection and so were the gyoza. When I asked for extra ginger, the server/server assistantpractically threw it at my table because she was in such a rush. When my regular server brought the bill and cashed me out, Igave him his tip in cash (more than the standard 15%), and paid the rest on credit card. I said thanks and he literally ran awaywithout saying anything and didn't even ask if I needed my receipt or not. I know that they're busy but that was super awkwardand felt rude. Read more

My husband and I headed to Katsu on our first date in a long time and we were hoping to have some all you can eat sushi, but... unfortunately the restaurant doesn't do that anymore since the pandemic.
