True North burger combo was fabulous. Hot fresh beef, hot crisp fries, friendly efficient team, lots of choice in toppings.... Patio dining on a delightful fall evening. Highly recommended. Read more
Went in today and wasn't sure what I wanted to I stood by the table closest to the area to look at the menu and encountered a... very rude older woman (as mentioned in several reviewers). She yelled at me to move to the other side of the restaurant to takemy order. I told her I'm not sure what I want yet. She gave me a dirty look. At that point, I turned around and left. Nice location and staff but the product has seriously gone down hill. You're paying $10 here for a burger so it better well be... damn good. What used to be a modest wait and yet a fresh juicy burger burger with beef flavour I got a dried up puck that onlywas edible because of the veg. Now the veg was no super star here either. No romaine lettuce as in the past and paletomatoes even though they should be in season. I did not wait too long so I guess this was sitting already made. Well Ican tell you it does not keep in the least. For the money I will wait a bit and hopefully enjoy a fresh burger. Maybe thisis the new South Street. And the bun was like some doughy lead weight. What used to be different sizes of burger is now ONESIZE fits all and thought they claim this is 5 oz I truly find that hard to believe. Better options near by are 5 Guys... mouthwatering just thinking about it... or burger priest near York Mills and Leslie/Don Mills. Those are a bit more money but nevera disappointment .... South Street needs to resurrect itself from previous glory. Or maybe this store needs to stop sellingpreviously cooked burgers. Read more
Normally I love south street burger. Today they had mold all over their pepper Jack cheese. I told them and then he tried to... give me cheese from underneath the Moldy cheese. I said you can?t serve any of that cheese it is all contaminated. All he didwas flip some fresher cheese on top, hiding the moldy cheese underneath. You can see on my photo a bit of the mold but it wasway worse on the slices underneath. You?d think they would throw it out but nope they just hid it and hope that the nextcustomer doesn?t notice ???? Read more
