Incredible dinner and drinking experience. We found this place while wandering downtown. It wss weirdly empty while other... restaurants were packed. This made us somewhat uneasy going in, and unsure of what lied behind. The patio had a few people butnowhere near what it should have given the food. The food is elevated takes on classic bar food, think nachos but with a twistand ever so slightly health angle to then. Think grilled cheese but taken to its maximum level . Fantastic ingredients, uniqueflavors and delicious food that feels familiar but at a higher level and with a slightly health angle. They have ample veganand vegetarian options for anyone to try. If I had to describe it, it feels like HBO vs the CW. Somewhat familiar but justbetter in every sense due to the takes being on a higher budget and ambition. I think people coming in expect it to be a chainlike experience, or something that lacks that unique vibe of a big city restaurant. This place has that and more. The ambianceis a bit off beat with health stuff playing making it feel like a gym. There are cool details throughout the restaurant that cango unnoticed like a mural in the washrooms or the patio. The drinks menu is curated, and it shows. The drinks can go toe to toewith any cocktail bar, and are similar in that they are elevated classics with a twist. The only minor issue would be to changethe seating to something slightly more confortable than the chairs and tables they have. The service was too notch, attentiveand helpful. Went for dine in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasnt so busy but it took around 5 min for someone to notice us at the door... waiting. The drinks were great and the server was nice. We ordered steak and mushroom sandwich and chicken sandwich. Steak wascooked to our liking and the chicken one was just a chicken sandwich nothing special that I would say I’ll order again. Im notsure what was the problem with songs and sound outside but it kept getting disconnected and connected again and it got a bitannoying at some point that it kept changing. Read more

District is a trendy restaurant which hosts a versatile menu full of foods from different parts of the world (each with its own... unique a twist). The lavender lemonade drink was so innovative, it’s a must-try for sure! The food came out piping hot andfull of flavour. The waitress was a gem! She made sure everyone was comfortable and went above and beyond to make our firstexperience at District as welcoming as possible. She noticed most of the items we ordered were vegetarians aside from one andcame back over to our table to confirm whether bacon in the grilled cheese was in line with our dietary needs. I can’t recommend a visit to District Restaurant and Bar enough! The staff and service was excellent. The atmosphere, even... early in the evening, is really trendy and welcoming. The drink menu is a standout here — great selection and great flavours.We wanted to keep trying everything. The food (we came for some appetizers before dinner) was exactly what we wanted.
