I dropped by on a Friday afternoon and was really happy to try the place out in person. Previously, my wife bought a 24... selection case and I was really quite impressed the the quality of the beer. I know of the brewmaster and his history and I wasreally jazzed to go in person. The place has really hip decor and is also building a side patio as of August 2022. Although theplace was fairly empty, it did take about 5-6 minutes for anyone to seat us. Our server took our order of both drinks and foodand we waited about 20-25 minutes for her to finally bring our drinks to us?keep in mind the place had only one other couplepresent. We then waited about 40 minutes and our same server came back to us and informed us that something was wrong with our pizza order and if we want food we will have to order something else. We did but asked how much longer we would have to wait forthis food and she said 10 minutes.After 20 minutes?still no food. So we asked her to cancel the food and we would settle upright there and then. To my surprise she was still charging us for the drink despite the hour wait for food that never came. Theserver was pleasant all the while but let?s be honest this service was easily the worst I?ve ever had at any brewery. I wantthis place to do well but this experience was brutal. The place doesn?t even do Flights of beer?a pretty standard practice forany brewery wanting to excite and engage beer lovers. The staff were super friendly and the place was clean, clean, clean. The garage doors were open and puppies were on the patio-... my favourite. We had a green tea, a yuzu saison and a ?buh?, an inside joke maker if I?ve ever seen one. I understand that thebeer here is next level, but maybe I don?t have the palette. I will be back for food! I went today really excited to have an amazing beer experience in a beautiful place. However things got a bit strange regarding... the service. I am a visible minority and noticed everyone else getting table service, being checked on, and paying their billsat their table. At first I was being checked on, but then it was like they forgot I was there. I waited for over 30 mins whileseeing other tables being waited on, asked if they wanted to pay their bills, and how they are doing. My server who I laterlearned was in training was initially lovely, but kind of disappeared. I tried to make eye contact with staff and I noticedservers avoiding to acknowledge me. After when I spoke to the management I was told it was bar service, which is absolutelyfine if that truly was happening, but it was not. People were being asked if they wanted to pay their bills around me minutesbefore I asked what was going on and what made things worse is when I brought up, "Hey I am a visible minority here, so it mightjust be a mistake but its concerning that everyone else is getting table service and I am not" to a lot of defensiveness andarguing by white staff. I am fine with bar service, mistakes happen, but its helpful to be consistent in your service with allcustomers present and communicative of what the service will be and to stick to it. I am someone who doesn't like making a bigdeal or writing negative reviews. I hope this was a misunderstanding or a bad experience based on miscommunication. Consideringthis brewery is in little India it would maybe make sense to try to be more welcoming, inclusive, and kind to folks from thecommunity in the area you are making your home. I notice I am the second person who has made a similar review who also seems tobe South Asian. Amazing place to try a few inoerial stouts and porters. We got to try a peche mortel variant as part of a special showcase. Also... tried the somewhat weird Green Tea IPA and a lovely Czech Pilsner. Photos a wee bit blurry as it was the 7th brewpub of our pubcrawl ???? Read more
