Overall a great experience! The food was super yummy - favourite was the lamb skewers and fried rice. The cauliflower in the... glazed soy was also very delicious! Personally found the duck to be a little disappointing just because I'm used to authenticstyle BBQ duck, but still delicious and unique with the baos. Would definitely come again!! Read more
First time coming over to this place. Got greeted by a friendly host and seated my friend and I onto the bar seating area. Food... was phenomenal and filled with flavour and texture. The atmosphere of the place felt homey with a splash of urban vibes. Theirsummerlicious menu exceeded my food expectations in terms of presentation and friendly cooks and chefs describing each dish. Was a very delicious meal. The Peking duck was definitely good and worth a try at least once (tasted like smoked duck but with... skins on it). The fried rice was probably my favourite dish out of all the items we’ve ordered because it was a interestingtake on a classic meal. Im not sure if I would order the tofu again or the fried chicken as it felt very average. If the pricewas slightly lower it would’ve been rated higher. Read more
I went to R&D for my birthday and it was a great place to do so! The music is good, there's a warm atmosphere, and staff are... friendly and kind. A lot of classic dishes that are familiar yet have an additional complexity in flavour! I particularlyenjoyed the snow pea leaves and the french onion spring roll was warm and fatty in flavour without being too greasy. However,still to this day, I am still thinking about the wagyu. It melts in your mouth like butter. The Singaporean black pepper saucetops it off with the mushrooms like a dream. Finished dinner off with a sticky toffee pudding and the bourbon caramel ice creamis made in-house that differentiates the dessert from others, and it's the perfect balance of bourbon and sweetness! Amazingly fantastic place. Friendly and accommodating host and servers. Out of this world Peking duck and R&D fried rice. This... duck is rich and flavourful. Beautifully crispy skin and moist tender juicy inside. Note that you have to let the restaurantknow 24 hours in advance if you want to order this. WORTH IT. The rice is a MUST HAVE.
