Very quick turnaround and wait time isn't long for a table (around 10 min for lunch on a Sunday). Very friendly service, cash... only. Their bun (rice vermicelli) was tasty, although the shrimp and sugar cane was just so-so. The pho soup base was veryflavourful. Read more
When we're in downtown Toronto and want Vietnamese food, this is the place we usually go to. After my son's soccer practice... yesterday, we came by to order the fried spring rolls and Hue beef noodle soup, the soup from Central Vietnam. I paid $6+tax for2 spring rolls, which I think is expensive. The soup was okay but didn't stand out compared with other Vietnamese restaurants,esp. those in the west, i.e. Mississauga. Read more
We didn?t realize they were about to close, but they still let us in and hostess was super nice, didn?t even mention anything... about closing time and no one hurried us. (Waitress however was a bit gloomy, probably tired after a long day) Food was superfilling, but you will probably like it more if you like and know Vietnamese cuisine, for us it was new experience, but chickenand shrimp were delicious and tender. But there was a bug in my food???? I?m not sure if it was flying around and got into mydish or they didn?t wash greens properly and that?s how it ended up there, cause I ordered vermicelli with shrimp, chicken andspring roll and it comes with salad, so anyway, after seeing it crawling on my roll, I couldn?t continue eating :D but goodthing, I was almost done lol. Classic pho restaurant interior and energy. Our service was super friendly and food came out lightning quick! The pho broth was... a little on the bland side, but still delicious nonetheless. Beef was fresh and tasted like good cuts. Overall the food isgreat, not disappointing at all. Restaurant is clean and bright.
