I had a great experience at Lai Wah Heen. It’s a very upscale dim sum experience with excellent service, attentive servers in... a lovely and quiet environment. The food was an elevated version of classic dishes. The scallop pieces on top of the Shui Maiwas a nice surprise. The Hai gow featured very large, whole pieces of shrimp. The lobster dumpling in the shape of a lobster wastruly unique for dim sum. With the higher quality also means a higher price, but I would be happy to return for the elevatedexperience. Read more

Lai Wah Heen is the proper ‘treat yourself’ dim sum spot. Not the best bang for buck on conventional dim sum picks, but the... real treat here is the eccentrically crafted items you won’t find anywhere else. The restaurant is elusively on the secondfloor of the Double Tree, and has a finer dining vibe with an attentive and friendly wait staff. The lobster dumpling is amust, and is almost too cute to eat. I liked the soft Sichuan sauce of the waygu dumping, tho the rich fat flavour is lost inthe minced beef. The fois gras pastry was also unique but a little underwhelming. When it came to the familiar dim sum items, the flavours seemed subdued. I did enjoy the custard buns, tho they were less creamy and more fluid. Overall, still worthwhilefor a unique dim sum experience. Read more

Dining at Lai Wah Heen is always a treat. I met my friend here for dim sum on an early Sunday afternoon. The dining room is... calm, spacious and relaxing. Service is courteous and refined. We ordered an assortment of dishes from the dim sum menu. Thestand outs were the Wagyu beef dumplings in a spicy sauce, the steamed barbecue pork buns, and the deep fried sesame ballsfilled with lotus bean paste. For an upscale dim sum experience, Lai Wah Heen is the place to go. Read more

Perhaps my new standard for dim sum! The service was excellent and extremely fast. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The... food is such an amazing experience! The flavors are so on point! The bbq pork bun is the perfect compliment of soft fluffy bunwith the ideal portion of bbq pork. The lava bun was pure joy. Each item we enjoyed was fresh, flavorful and left you wantingmore. Made a reservation at this restaurant on 2nd floor of our hotel. Superb service, the owner him self carved the BEST Peking duck... we ever had, the rice paper wrap served in excellent timing, maintained its moisture and texture. The Foie Gras perfectlyprepared a top sticky rice cake, cooked in traditional Chinese Dishes, creatively unique, fatty succulent without eliminate thefreshness of the Foie gras it self. The Crab E-fu Mee carried soft yet touch of crunchy surface, giving extraordinary chewyexperience, blended upon generous lump cram meat. The second Foie gras served a top braised beef, such a harmony in perfectcombination. One of the best Chinese Food we had. 5 star is absolute!! Read more
