I was wandering about town and had forgotten about dinner, and so did not have a reso, but they were able to get me in a little... later. It looked like a quaint place with good ambience so I wanted to try it out. The wait was worth it as the service wasgreat and the meal very tasty. I opted for the scallops and they were quite good. My fiancée and I went to Oliver?s for our 2 year anniversary. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere is great, complete with a... wine wall and some lovely mood lighting. The wait staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the vibe of the place wasintimate. Both of us got one of their chicken dishes, and wow, it was amazing. Cooked perfectly with a great flavour andtexture, accompanied by fresh cut fries and a light vegetable medley. We would recommend going here for a romantic night or anice meal in downtown St. John?s. Upscale restaurant. Lots of options on the menu and given more once we arrived at our reservation time. Closed at 10:00 pm. One... washroom. Server was attentive and flexible with menu. Seafood plater was delicious as was the bourbon glazed chicken. Crabcakes as an appetizer. Tea/coffee. Mixed berry cheese cake and blueberry crumble for dessert. A little dark inside.
