Last night we ordered for delivery chow mein, lemon chicken and beef and broccoli. We live 3 kms away from this place. We got... instead fried rice, lemon chicken without any lemon sauce (dry fried chicken) and the beef and broccoli. We phoned to ask whathappened and were told they could send the chow mein and also the sauce to go with the lemon chicken. After waiting at least 45minutes, the driver got here and said we had to pay for this food too, despite it being the mistake of Happy Village Restaurant. We were rounding out an evening of decorating our Christmas tree with a treat of Chinese food. It was disappointing. Read more

What can I say? I really do not like speaking badly of a local business but I owe it to you (to make an informed decision) and... to the Restaurant (to provide them an opportunity to improve) to speak out. I will preface this review by noting that the ownersof this restaurant only seem to respond to favourable reviews (read previous reviews) and I am not sure whether or not it?sbecause they don?t care or do not know how to handle criticism. Either way, here we go. My wife and I went there for a longoverdue dinner for just the two of us. We chose to dine-in. It was not overly busy as most traffic seemed to be for pick uporders. There was just us and another table dining in. Once seated we waited approx. 10 minutes before the server re-approachedus. She was pleasant but had few customer service skills. After being completely sticker shocked by menu prices (even after theCovid inflation) we settled on a pot of tea and for simplicity sake, the dinner for 3 in hopes of having some left overs totake home. The tea was tepid at best and nowhere near what a hot beverage should be served at. The meal took about 15 minutesfrom ordering to table. This built the anticipation of a soon to be presented hot and freshly prepared meal. The realitycouldn?t have been further than expected. The food was barely warm enough to have come from under heat lamps let alone a stove. We have enjoyed Buffets with warmer food in the past! The food was dull and flavourless perhaps drowned from the amount of MSGused. The beef and greens had virtually a spattering of beef (costs to high??) and the rice was brutal (who can ruinrice?). After enjoying a second pot of tepid tea we were presented our bill?.. $75.00 plus tax and expected gratuity! We arenot old grumpy cheap customers, but we do expect value for our business. We expressed our concern regarding the experience toour server (and yes we left a tip as the food quality and pricing are beyond her control and she shouldn?t be penali Read more

My first time here and was pleasantly impressed. I had the prawn, scallop, snow peas with a steamed rice. Also had a wonton soup... as a starter. Was very tasty and fresh. Definitely will come back. Restaurant was clean and very comforting music in thebackground. Was a great place to eat and distress! Read more

We ordered Hot sour soup. We were about Singapore chow mein and my husband asked if it had shrimp due to my allergy. The man... taking order said yes so my husband changed order due to my being allergic. Order came and the soup had shrimp. Husband calledto tell them that since shrimp is not usual in soup that they should note it on menu. The person's response was " what do youwant us to do, put all ingredients on menu in case of allergy " and she continued to not get the seriousness of allergies.Spent over $100 , unsatisfied. Will not order again. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE Read more
