Was served by friendly cashier. Ordered take out. Portion was a bit smaller than hoped. But flavors are good.
so many terrible reviews, then saw one positive one citing new management. Welp I went here on a Wednesday at 6.30ish and had... zero issues. Staff was friendly and helpful, my fairly complicated order of 4 different combo meals was correct, it wasnt slow,and the food was what I expected. I do think the 3 spices fried rice and chicken was a bit dissapointing (chicken was good butthe rice was quite plain and there was no sauce for it, including from the chicken). But the boneless duck breast laksa soup wassurprisingly good, and tender, and the portion size was... well, it must have been the ENTIRE duck breast, not a portion, andnot a small duck either, nice! Finally, the prices seem to be the same as pre-covid, which is amazing, earned the 5th starthanks to that and the duck despite the meh 3 spice fried rice and chicken. Read more
I thought all the bubble waffle cafe were the same but now I know that only the Bubble Waffle Cafe in Metrotown is the best(more... flavourful, portion is way more & even the people are friendlier)?????????? The Landsdowne bubble waffle cafe is more pricey &even the portion-wise is awful. Usually when we eat the noodle soup, we are full but this time we are still hungry??!! Theycheap-out by cutting the meat so thin, great for my 3 year old but for an adult it?s hilarious. If you ask for an extra bowl forsharing with your child it cost an extra 25 cent. It?s not about the money, it?s the service too. I have never had to pay for abowl at Metrotown or extra for a drink in a combo??!! Oh yeah, the bubble waffle?not so great. It?s flat & looks like they cheapout on the portion by using less batter. I will give zero stars. Very rude old lady with glasses (who refused to give me her name), the food portion has gone down big... time as you can see in the picture (hainan chicken in laksa soup noodle), the most gross bubble waffle (the lady refused toremake another one because she said they all look the same). The lady had made about 20 drinks in advance, left on countertop,so don?t even bother customizing, she won?t make a new one. I had the angus beef dry noodles with egg noodles. The noodles tasted both old and overcooked. They were jammed into the... container so they were stuck together like a brick. I could barely take a singular noodle out and had to cut my way through.Texture aside, it had next to no flavour The meat also had no flavour and was very tough to chew. I can guarantee that this isabsolutely not angus beef. If it is, it must?ve been very old and overcooked to oblivion. There were very little pieces of meatand corn compared to the noodles.
