Waited 10 mins after I sat down, then just got up to get my own beer fom the bar. Was maybe 20 people in the place and 3 servers... so I dunno what the deal was there. Crying baby in there as well, kinda annoying. Certainly not the place it used to be. Read more
I've been here a few times and the food is ... okay, not great, but not bad either. It's good. This time I was here for a... work-related team building supper. We shot a few games of pool, had some drinks, and mostly just appetizer type food. It wasgood times but the food was just meh. I don't know if I can put a finger on it exactly, but some examples are that the nachoswere just dry and very cardboard-like without any real flavour or zing. The wings were hit-and-miss ... some had seasoning orsauce on them, some did not ... just prepared without care or attention to detail. The fried pickles were good, but themushrooms were just like pockets of oil and grease and tasted like the burnt crumbs in the bottom of a deep fryer. I'vepreviously ordered food off the menu, and it was better. All in all, it was an average night out and an average restaurant. Read more
The Broken Rack offers a pleasant and vibrant atmosphere. The venue has approximately 12 billiards tables on the main floor... which are NOT the typical coin operated tables you might expect. These are a well maintained, pay-by-the-hour operation (becareful because they are quite expensive - time flies when you're having fun!) This is a great casual place to bring a date fora couple drinks and offers a slightly competitive, constantly moving way to interact with your date, show off a bit of skill,and of course, flirt. Its equally as fun for a night out with the boys/girls. Food is good, offering standard bar/pub foodofferings and during the week they have food and drink specials that are bound to save you a bit of money as well. The lack ofweekend specials is unfortunate, and the cost of pool is somewhat prohibitive for those on a budget, but otherwise it's a greatplace to head out for an casual evening with your favorite amigos or that special someone. An awesome place to hang out and play a couple pool round, staff are genuane and frendly. During busy house thair can be a bit... of a wait( 15-20 mins in my experiences, not an issue for myself). Definitely will be back in the future. Read more
