The food was AMAZING; the service was extremely lacking. The owner did come out (without us asking or complaining at all) to... apologize and let us know why the service was so poor (a shortage in the kitchen). We were provided with some complimentarydishes which were, to no one’s surprise, excellent. I’d typically not give somewhere with such lousy service such a greatreview, but the food truly was excellent, and I felt that the owner did everything he could to make up for the negativeexperience. Okay the food is 5 stars. The service a 1 star. I don't know what was wrong with our server but she was insisting we needed a... drink before ordering. I said "okay we are ready to order everything" (because she took forever to get there to begin with) Shesaid okay and walked away! Completely ignoring me and went to fold napkins. I eventually called her to come back to take ourorder since she was not coming back. We ordered, food was amazing! But we never saw her back at our table. She was more occupiedin prepping and cleaning than taking care of her customers. The manager? Helped our table for the rest of the time we werethere. Had a wonderful restaurant experience for brunch. I am always looking for the best Fish and Chips. I grew up in Victoria so... it’s been tough to find a great option. I loved that there were 2 styles of potatoes and the Haddock was amazing. We broughtmy 19 month old grandson, very good children’s menu and the service was great. Ambiance top notch.
