This is an amazing restaurant! The atmosphere is nice, the employees are helpful and generous, but, most of all, the food is... amazing. Huge servings. Quality ingredients cooked beautifully. We went in between lunch and supper and both the lounge and restaurant were pretty empty. We chose the lounge and our waitress... was very attentive and polite. It seems like it would be a good place to watch sports with friends. Our portions were huge anddelicious. My 12oz was incredibly delicious and came with a starter soup and salad as well as what was on the plate with it. Thejalapeño cheddar soup impressed both my wife and I. It was our first experience here as we are new to Red Deer and we brought family that had come to visit. The food was really... good but the side portions seemed small for the price. Also, we had an issue with a drink that we had to send back. The waitresswas pleasant and did her best to make light of the situation but almost made it seem like it wasn't the first time it happened. Read more
I've been here in the past and in the past it was excellent. A change of ownership I'm told has taken place. I had an oriental... noodle veggie and chicken dish..it was ok, nothing spectacular large serving. My husband ordered the steak rare and got it welldone and tough. Unfortunately in typical Canadian politeness nothing was said but we do no favours to a formerly excellentestablishment.by not politely speaking up. We ate it all but it was disappointing. The Ranch House has been in Red Deer for many years I used to eat there all the time. I felt quite disappointed I haven't eaten... at the Ranch House in a long time. It's still a great restaurant, my spouse thought they had the best burger in Red Deer. I hada New York strip and really enjoyed it. Prices are good, service is fast and friendly.
