Absolute terrible service. Our table was appalled with how rude the waitress was (name on the receipt was Carlee). She was... short, unpleasant and made no eye contact. After serving our first round of drinks, she didn't bother to revisit our table forthe rest of the night; instead, she decided to fold cutlery with a friend at the bar counter. Will not return. This place is all about the location, which makes it a great spot for beers after playing hockey. As it is a student bar, the... prices used to be quite reasonable. I was surprised the other evening when I ordered a Belgian Moon and payed almost $8 for apint. The price is in line with other pubs in the city, but I'm not sure it is sustainable with students as their primarymarket. Time will tell. The service is ok, but I always head straight for the bar to get my first beer to avoid waiting at mytable. The atmosphere typically consists of uni students and hockey players along with the several TVs showing sports. Thefood is typical pub food, whl8th nothing standing out as extraordinary. I play hockey here and go to the pub weekly. It?s great that it?s convenient and has cold beer but that?s about where it ends. ... It is usually understaffed with just one server trying to manage large tables of sports teams. They are frequently out of stockso you have to run down the menu to find something that is available. As a result of being short staffed the servers areperpetually in a foul mood and don?t dare ask for water after playing hockey. This place could be a real gem but seems to behorribly managed. Not a bad selection of beer and the bartender was friendly in my experience. My 2-star rating is on an absolute scale - manage... your expectations - this is a university campus bar. People go here for a quick pint between classes or to drink their exam woesaway, not for a lovely experience. Read more

Pool table, more expensive @ 1.50 than 1848 but in better condition. A there's a good view of the hockey rink. Plenty of tvs.... Service is quick and there's giant Jenga. Recommend for most occasions from sporting events to pre and post drinking binges. Read more
