First off I'd like to say, they have terrible hours and have had terrible hours for a long time. It was consistent for a period... of well over a year that I'd think, "Ah, the sconewitch sounds interesting, I'd like to try it" only to get to the door and seeit's closed. Now that I've tried it, if I happen to be around when it's open (unlikely) I may go in and grab something, butit's not a place I'm going to seek out. The scone sandwich is a nice concept and the execution is pretty good, a bit dry. I'mnot big on scones tho, so maybe that's what you're looking for here? The coffee was OK. Once again nothing special andconsidering their neighbor luko has a better and cheaper cup, that's a negative for me. Read more

Pretty minimalist place, geared more towards taking out. Scones are reasonably good, which why I still go there. I am not sure... why they ask for a tip, as this is not a restaurant. Staff seems pretty distant and cold. Read more

The shop itself is not very inviting. It just sort of feels like they?ve never recovered from Covid. The menu is covered which... leads me to believe they are still only offering a reduced menu. Having said that, I never come here to dine in. I always pickup. Some scones are good, some not so much. I absolutely love the rhubarb scones and the pumpkin scones. But they are seasonal, unfortunately. The up side is that they do sell frozen scones you can bake at home yourself. I typically do this with therhubarb and pumpkin ones - and they turn out very well. A cute little place for Gourmet Sandwiches in the heart of Beechwood area. I had a tuna sandwich and orange cranberry scones,... and all tasted great; fresh and just the right amount of sugar. - Masks are required. - Service was a little slow cuz there wereonly two employees, and the shop could use one more staff member. I love scones. Flakiness and crisp crumble edges ?.. especially savoury ones. Unfortunately, despite all its raving reviews ,... the orange and cranberry scone I had was NOT!!!! Flavour : EXTREMELY disappointed !!!!! Inside was dry and no butter flavournor savoury crisp that comes with a scone. On top of it, as you can see from the picture, cannot taste any fruit bits?.. theyhad diced and minced very small amount of the fruits bits inside. Very sad looking and tasting scone!!!! Ambiance: open spacewith a few small bistro style round tables and small chairs. The rest looks like under renovation. Food Options: while thereare a few choices of scones , looks like brunch is only available on weekends. During week, only scones and scone sandwichesare available. Overall, not good ambiance and definitely midiocre scones!!! Very disappointed. Maybe Thursday lunch is a badday to be here!!! Read more
