It's been awhile since I last grabbed lunch at Green Rebel,. I was reminded today about how great the food is. Very fresh. ... Very tasty. Some really nice options for salads, but also for protein. I feel pleasantly satiated and recharged. Some mealscan leave you with a feeling of "faire dodo." Went to the Queen St. location. 1st time trying Green Rebel and it was well worth it. The rebel chicken sandwich was amazing ;... the chicken has a nice seasoning on it (almost like a mild curry) and tasted like food should. The quality of the food is high,its healthy, and the prices are fair. The staff are nice as well. Not stingy with toppings as some restaurants are. Overall,pleasantly surprised and will most definitely be back soon. Read more

I am so disappointed in Green Rebel. I have been waiting for this location to reopen, and really wanted to try it out, as I live... very close. Being vegan I ordered a tofu bowl, they were out.. no worries I ordered a vegan Ceasar. They were also out ofsmoothies, but had a really small selection of pop and water and juice in a cooler which I accepted. At this point I was justexcited to try anything. It came to the point of payment, the final blow.. They don't accept cash. I work in the serviceindustry, and pay for meals and coffee with cash. I think a business that postures itself as being rebelious wouldn't be ontheir knees for big banks. Why should I pay my bank a fee because you decide not to take cash. This trend needs to stop, you aremarginalizing people that do not want to pay with cards, and it's really gross. I really, really wanted to love this place, butI ended up going to the competition literally down the hall, and had a great vegan meal paid fully in cash, including tip. Read more
