Nice hotel restaurant. There menu was diverse and affordable, great flavour on the lamb I ate and the steak my wife had had a... nice Cajun rub. Servers were very attentive and helped with wine pairing which was great even offered a sample. The view andoutdoor seating area is picturesque. Downsides: felt the portion was a bit small on the lamb but it was fairly filling, theshoestring fries were okay but not quite Keg quality and a bit blackened maybe consider going with a better brand or style, andfinally the indoor seating wasn?t that comfortable for eating - great deep chairs for drinking or lounging but where we satindoors wasn?t amazing, kind of squished your stomach but we are 5?8 maybe more comfy for ppl 6 ft taller. A few friends and I went here tonight for drinks. We had a reservation made six months ago for a special occasion. Immediately... upon arrival, we did not feel that they were very warm or welcoming. They seated us quickly but took a long time to come takeour order and no one even brought water over the entire time we were there. We each ordered one cocktail. They looked greatwhen they arrived but two of them were the type that needed to be stirred so the liquor wasn?t only on the bottom. We asked forstraws and they brought us used straws that were sticky AND had liquid in them (photo shown of what was laid on our table). Theywere clearly used. We flagged a waitress down as soon as we realized, pointed out they were dirty and used, and asked for newones. Instead of apologizing and immediately bringing us new straws, the waitress actually questioned us and asked if we ?weresure we hadn?t used them to stir our drinks,? which were clearly still layered and unmixed as the bartender had made them. Theythen said ?we wouldn?t give you used ones? as if we were lying, and then seemingly unwillingly took them away to bring us newstraws. Another waitress did apologize upon bringing us clean straws, and a man came out to ask how things were going. I assumehe may have been the manager or owner. We didn?t kick up a huge fuss but were clearly not impressed. We paid and left as soon aspossible. I would never recommend this place to anyone. What they did was inconsiderate, disgusting, and frankly unsafe andunhygienic regardless of a pandemic. Furthermore, questioning us as if we made the straws dirty on our own was insulting. Read more
