Brasserie 701 offers a charming atmosphere and a good sense of privacy. I went there for a corporate lunch and we got a special... menu for the occasion, so I can?t comment about their regular dishes. The service wasn?t great. Some orders got mixed up, someplates were missing ingredients (like some burgers came with pickles while others didn?t), and the servers seemed a littleoverwhelmed although we were less than 20 people. We walked in for lunch & realized the kitchen was about to close. However Elsa was very nice to sit us down & promptly take our... order so that the chef was still able to make the food before closing. The cocktails were excellent & the Poutine is a must try.Contrary to what some others have said, we enjoyed ourselves & have no complaints. Read more
I really wanted to like this place. It is beautiful architecturally, and maybe if we had come in for brunch off the street... versus having a brunch reception that was reserved, we would of had a different experience. Unfortunately, no one in our partygot food at the same time, half the group was finished their plates before the other half got their food. When it did arrive itwas cold and a little underwhelming. Toast wasn't even buttered. Brunch cocktails were delicious though. I'd definitely go backfor those alone. This is in no way reflective of the staff, that were super sweet and attempted to accommodate us in all things.They get 5 stars. I hope to give this place another chance soon. Read more
Overall a great place for brunch, especially if you have time for bottomless mimosas. Came in for Saturday brunch. The decor and... ambience were amazing. Staff was very nice and accommodated the fact that we came a bit earlier for our reservation. Bottomlessmimosas are nice and drinks overall were really good. The food itself was pretty good. I won't lie I had an amazing experience at this hotel/venue! I was here for a work party which was catered. The restaurant was... decorated perfectly with just the right amount of light. The food was excellent, with a great menu and all perfectly cookedfood. The bar staff was fast and friendly and was very knowledgeable about different drinks. I'd recommend it to anyone lookingfor a great party venue. Or stop by on a regular day. Thanks for the great experience!! Read more
