Can tell the owner does not care about the customers experience as seems to be giving smaller portions. Also as a frequent... returning customer I have noticed that there is only one person working during the day instead of the usual two. Seems like abig workload for just one person and really shows the owner is just trying to cut expenses and increase income to make a quickbuck without the care of the customers experience. Whatever changes happened are really negatively affecting my experience andare making me question if I should return. P.S. I was a very frequent customer and although it was pricey I always had a goodexperience but I cannot say the same as of recently. Read more
Awful!! ZERO STARS. Any review mentioning Roberto & Monica, must be written by either Roberto, Monica or some close relation.... The restaurant has gone downhill so fast. Prices are up, and serving sizes are down. Coffee is horrible, and they no longerserve you at your table. New owner belittles & disrespects his lovely staff (all young students doing their best). Huge thumbsdown from me. Considering the labor shortage, one would think he'd want to hold on to his staff. Read more
My wife and I have been coming here for our desserts for the better part of a decade. And for the longest time there were never... any problems with the staff or the pies themselves. But recently there?s been a noticeable change... Slices are smaller,everything costs extra, the once happy service has been replaced with emotionless servers who clearly have no interest inworking for this new boss. In the restaurant business it all starts from the owners and I can tell that the owners just don?tcare anymore, it reflects in all aspects. Such a shame that the once staple of my Friday night has turned into a place I neverwant to be again. I?d give 0/5 stars if it weren?t for the poor young workers getting paid minimum wage to work for suchhorrible people. Read more
I believe there must?ve been a switch in management/ownership because the changes that have recently been made are atrocious.... The pies are smaller for the same price and they only serve half a scoop of ice cream for 3 dollars!! To add, the new systemrequires that we, the customers, must go to the counter to order our pies instead of before where we had the privilege of beingserved by the wonderful staff. Prior to the changes, the staff would be happy to serve us with big smiles however, with the newowners, it is evident that the staff does not like the changes and seems very uncomfortable around the new owners. The new owneris arrogant and clearly does not understand the demographic and different type of clientele that Rockaberry monkland serves.Very disappointed and frustrated by the new changes. This place is the best cheesecake place in Montreal. Their pies have no competition. I have tried and tested all their pies and... would say none of it is a disappointment. Rather you'll be wondering why you have never tried it and once you try it forgetliking pies from other places. The apple crumble, key lime, fudge, strawberry are my go to option I'll like to recommend. Alsotheir restaurant menu is great. They make it inhouse and the chef there are amazing. The menu changes a bit each week withvariety of soups and pastas and would say none of it ever disappoints. Worth your weekend brunch spot. Read more
