Perfect for a date night. Set menu by month I think? Price is reasonable for the quality of the dishes. Some of the chefs... brought our dishes out and you can sense the love they put into it. Every dish was sensational. We loved the broccoli entree -the best broccoli I've ever had. Read more
This is now our favourite restaurant in Montreal. The location and decor is lovely yet relaxed. The service is exceptional. The... sommelier (Vincent) delightfully paired the most unique wines to our dishes. Finally the food, absolutely amazing and alsounique. What a breath of fresh air to have a set menu with local ingredients, some literally on their property. It?s a set menuthat changes almost monthly based on seasonal ingredients. Thoughtful, fresh, and passionate cooking here at Candide. The flavors of the season shine in every dish. Every vegetable... unlocks its secret magic. The asparagus with sorrel and lovage butter had a clear smoke tone to the grilled asparagus, and theunctuous butter was cut perfectly by the tangy sour bite of sorrel. The gem lettuce salad featured brown butter croutons thatwere actually the right size to eat with lettuce. The peas! Sweet and crispy peas swimming in rich lobster sauce, topped withbroccoli, again perfectly grilled. Both the pork and halibut dishes were well balanced with sauteed, glazed, and raw elements,and both dessert options featured special and harmonious flavors.
