We ( party of 3) had a Friday evening meal here. Service was excellent as well as the wine suggestion by waiter. 2 of us shared... a seafood platter. I would have preferred some scallops & less clams/mussels. The other party had a steak which she said wasvery good. Restaurant was quite full by the time we left. I would rate it 4.5. Read more
The food is just excellent so are the two bottles of wine we had. Service is impeccable.
Super fresh seafood and fish platter! Desert is delicious too! Very attentive waiter! Overall a nice experience. One thing that... tricked my eyes were the roast potatoes in the platter, we originally thought they were scallops. This was a last minute option as I had never heard about Aldea before it was promoted on the MTL A TABLE events offered... throughout the city so I was not sure what to expect...well I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a classic Portuguese stylerestaurant, nicely decorated, warm, inviting with super engaging services. We were greeted with large smiles and seat almostimmediately upon arriving. The seat space is relatively small and closely packed with approximately seating for 35-40 people intotal. Although we could have ordered from the a la carte menu we took advantage of the MTL A TABLE deal...a 3 course meal foronly $55. We had excellent Lisbon-style shrimp and a tasty green salad for our first service. The mains include a large lambshank and maple baked salmon with walnuts (it was very good but I am not sure the Portuguese connection with that dish)...bothwere excellent. Dessert was flan and chocolate mousee...also very good. Overall we had an excellent time, service was extremelyquick and efficient and we strongly recommend as a nice pleasant date night locale.
