This was my last stop before I flew out of Montreal. Funnily enough, I came across this place when I used the restroom (shared... space from the other side of the restaurant’s entrance). As I walked through the restaurant, the French onion soup caught myeye. So how was it? It was very good and up to standard for how French onion soup should be made - hearty. At first, I wasdisappointed that there wasn’t enough cheese after I finished the melted cheese. But as I continue to eat the soup, my prayerswere answered with another bed of melted cheese at the bottom. The only thing that would knock off half a star of this dish wasthat the bread wasn’t crispy. The BEST French onion soup I’ve had was able to find a way to keep the crust of the breadsuper crispy despite it being served in soup. If they could crack that, this would probably be the best French onion soup I’vehad :) Staff was very kind and I would return to try the other items on the menu. Read more

Excellent establishment with great food and service. My grandmother, mother, and I came here for breakfast. Together, we ordered... two classic breakfasts and a mango pancake order. We also ordered a bowl of fruit to share. My mango pancakes were verysophisticated, served with pomegranates, cream, mango, maple syrup and some other ingredients I did not recognize. Overall, great food, just a bit pricey. If you are willing to splurge a bit, this is a great place to come in Old Montréal. Read more

We stopped here for brunch during our visit to Montreal recently. It was mother's day so they had a special menu going on for... brunch. We found it a bit pricey compared to the food that we were offered. We enjoyed the yoghurt parfait and smoothie, alsothe bakery platter was enjoyable. However the main dishes weren't as delicious as we expected them to be. Read more

We had three appetizers, one main and one dessert. Shrimp cocktail had a great sauce and decent sized shrimps, I recommend... it. The french onion soup was heart warming, gooey goodness, definitely recommended. Beef tartare was delicious, I would havepreferred more mustard but all in all good. They didn't have lobster or lamb shank which was disappointing. The 8oz flank steakwasn't the best, too chewy. I would have loved it if they offered different ounces of the flank. They were out of New York 55days aged steak too, which made our options limited. The cheese cake was a bit disappointing, why so small? The one star Ididn't give is because of small portions, menu items missing and not that great of a steak! Read more

Went there on a Sunday evening before Easter. Dining room is half full. Service is great. We tried the beef and barley soup and... shared tomahawk which is tender and juicy. Appreciated a free side offered by the server. Also had a couple of desserts. Greatexperience. Read more
