Fantastic place and perhaps some of the best cuisine in the city. Up scale but worth it certainley. The atmosphere is very... welcoming even for anglophones. The service was excellent and professional, and friendly which can be rare in these scale ofrestaurants. The food portions were generous for the price, but even to a laymen like me was an excellent way to build mypallette. By far the best tasting food I had during my trip. I felt compelled to have three courses despite the price because Iwanted to try as much as possible. Vegetarian options as well. The food here is amazing. My favorite is the Octopus appetizer. The sauce with caper is just so good on this octopus. Duck... confit and Beef Stew are also good. The peppery taste of arugula really balance out the richness of the duck. Service is alsogreat. Read more
3.5 stars. Very average French restaurant. Service was mediocre, servers were helpful and nice but not overly attentive. The... food was average for the price point. The duck was a bit too dry, and the lamb was too gamey. The best dish was the beef tartar.Decent sized portions though. Last summer when we walked pass this restaurant, it and all nearby restaurants were fully booked with half capacity (government... covid control policy). My neighbor told me it was a good restaurant. Last night we had supper there with a visiting guest. Theoriginality the chef put in the dishes with details, we enjoyed the food as much as the service. We had the best duct confitcompared to other two French cuisine restaurants in the Old Montreal. Price is reasonable, not raised after the pandemic whenthe restaurants suffered greatly. Reservation is recommended, lively atmosphere (a bit too loud when we had lunch here and we could barely hear each other talking... ????) Impeccable service with great lunch set meal of the day. Reasonable price for downtown for an entrée and a maincourse. Navet potage (Turnip soup) was simply good. My chosen main course of cornish hen was okay, not my favourite but Ienjoyed the sides of French beans that was cooked to perfection.
