For the appetizer, the creaminess and sweetness of the sauce pairs extremely well with the freshness of the scallop. The... temperature of the steak is cooked spot on and it is very delightful to see a variety of vegetables being presented as thegarnish. I am amazed by the cholate dessert where I can clearly taste the richness of the chocolate. They perfectly balanced thesweetness and chocolate flavor in that dessert. Amazing French restaurant in the heart of Plateau Montreal. BYOW and set menus for a price is what makes Le Pagase unique. Food is ok. Really nothing crazy about it at all. Presentation is gorgeous though. Is a BYOB/BYOW so food might taste a bit... better with a good wine. But really , as a French cuisine lover , it is ordinary. Desert was a bit better, although maindishes, never mind the entrées, were average or below. The hostess ( girl at the door with reservations) can smile or stay homeif she has a bad day- just a suggestion. Her attitude towards the clients is not professional and I count in here the couple infront of me. Verdict : unless you do not have better options out there ( and there are a few to be honest ) I would notrecommend. Read more
