Yesterday evening I went to Mario?s BBQ but I knew I?d arrive there 10 minutes before they closed so I called before leaving to... place a pick up order for a half chicken combo with rice and potatoes. The man on the phone told me I didn?t need to call aheadfor this but I let him know that I?m calling out of courtesy since I?ll be arriving close their closing time and also to ensurethe food won?t run out by the time arrive (which was in 20-30 minutes or so). When I arrived, another customer had walked injust behind me and cut in front of me to the counter. I didn?t have a problem as there was still a whole tray of rice andpotatoes with some chicken. Plus, I had called ahead. I went to grab a drink from the fridge and when I turned around, the womantook my order and mentioned there was only half a chicken left. I said that is fine and I asked for rice and potatoes. She toldme the rice had just run out. I look over and the other customer had taken the whole tray. I went to Mario?s BBQ for nothingand was disappointed. This was exactly the reason why I had called ahead. It didn?t help that upon leaving the restaurant, theother customer proceeded to laugh at me about taking the remaining rice because he saw that I left very disappointed. Today for first time i visit the place, i ordered whole chicken not spicy ans that's all. I got a nice juicy chicken but it was... over salty and i could crack salt in my mouth all the time ( not sure what kind of salt they use) and i think they bbq on stovetop.. i didn't taste ANY charcoal or wooden fire taste. Bad experince and epensive ( 19 dollors ). Sorry. No go place. Howeverthey were fast and helpful . Read more
Love Mario's. Been getting food here for over 20 years. Like all food places prices have gone up which is fine in these times.... However what is up with the size of the chickens? The last 3 weeks I have picked up food twice now and the chickens are so smalland the pieces tiny once cut up. I thought it was a one off experience but today again the chicken pieces were small. Hopefully that changes. Other than that love all the sides and always tasty. Read more
Consistently good food. Great place for lunch or take out for dinner. Chicken taste amazing and they have killer sauce. Chicken... dinner comes with two sides and my choice is steamed veggies and salad to keep carbs low. Highly recommend!!! Cheers Read more

Food is great but reason for 1 star is because of the rude customer service especially the lady at cash who wears glasses. ... Asked for spicy chicken and there was no sauce on the chicken at all and no sauce on the side as well. When asked for sauce onthe side the lady started to talk under her breath, seems like she is cursing on her language and only gave one small containerof sauce for a whole chicken, so stingy. I have been there several times and it has been like this every time. This is the lasttime I will go there. Read more
