On September 11th, 2022 we rented the upstairs private room for a Celebration of Life for my stepfather, Paul. We were allowed... to use the TV to showcase a video, the setup was easy. The manager Kevin was extremely organized and accommodating. Amelia andSarah were very hospitable, anticipated our needs and even reminded my mom and I to eat! Drinks were nice , staff was nice but food quality and price was a little overrated. You would be better off at a chucks road... house bar and grill for better food at a better price , inside faculties could be updated too. Kinda dark and gloomy . Read more
I had picked up food here on a Sunday evening, I do not usually experience any issues with the food quality here. Unfortunately... this is the second time in a row the food has not been as exceptional as it once was. I ordered the following items (picturesattached): 1. Lobster Ravioli The lobster ravioli had no sauce at all, and did not look like previously ordered or the photos ofothers patrons of the restaurant. 2. Wings with Drunken Chipotle bbq sauce The wings were stale & small, maybe fried earlier inthe day with minimal sauce. 3. Fish & Chips The oil this was fried in was rancid and made me feel ill for a few days (forgot apicture, realized it was bad after consumption). Recommendations: Retrain your Sunday staff. 3rd time here in my life, first time since pandemic started. One of the more expensive bar/patio food places, but it's worth it.... Quality has been consistent throughout, the jumbo shrimp pasta is definitely a signature dish. I didn't like the fact that themost expensive salad I picked tasted like Chinese food. Booked a party of 18 this past Friday and couldn't have chosen a better venue to host it. Kevin (the manager) who I spoke to... over e-mail to make the reservation was VERY accommodating and gave me the best option possible for my group which was very muchappreciated. On the night of, Zoe was our server and is an absolute GEM! Couldn't have asked for a better person to handle orgroup and the potential complications with the separate bills and what not. But she was on top of everything and we were neverleft wanting at any point. All the support staff were super helpful as well and everyone in my group raved about thevenue. The food and drink were great, we had a variety of apps, the nachos were great for sharing and were very tasty. Thegarlic bread was JUST cheesy enough to not be too rich which was greatly appreciated. The wings....OH MY..the wings! SO. DAMN.GOOD! Definitely recommend getting the grilled it just adds that extra dimension of flavour that frying on its own just can'treplicate. Flavour-wise, I recommend Tequila-Lime & Suicide mixed if you like spice. VERY TASTY.
