Food is good. Service is the worst I've experienced. After sitting, we waited a long time to be given menus and water. We... watched 3 groups of people arrive after us and get waited on before us before we finally had to flag down the waiter so that wecould get menus and water. It's not a large place and was not busy. The waiter wasn't oblivious to the fact we hadn't beenwaited on. It felt like he was intentionally ignoring us. Even the group next to us who arrived after us noticed somethingwasn't right. They saw that the waiter was not attending to our table, and even offered us their menus when they realized whatwas going on. After we ordered, we still did not receive water. We had to ask again for it. When the food arrived, there wasno cutlery for eating or serving. We looked around, everyone else was given them without having to ask. We had to flag downanother waiter and ask her for some. There were no apologies, in fact she seemed mildly annoyed at our request as if it was astrange one. During every step of the dining experience, we had to ask for the basic essentials. It really felt like our tablewas being singled out for some unwarranted poor service. Read more

My actual rating would be a 3.5/5 based on 3 dishes that I?ve eaten here: Nasi Lemak, Singapore Laksa and Hokkien Mee As a... Singaporean, I am very thankful for the presence of this restaurant to cater to my homesickness whenever I?m craving for foodfrom home. It?s a huge pity that the GTA severely lacks sufficient Singaporean cuisine when we are known to have one of the bestfood in the world. I loved the spiced fishcakes served with the Nasi lemak, along with the crispy fried egg placed on top ofthe creamy rice. Although, serving just 2 pieces of Otak Otak seemed a bit lacklustre and disproportionate for the entire dish.At the same time, the sambal belacan that seemed to be more on the sweeter side was such a bummer that affected my other dishestoo. Yes, there are some variations for sambal belacan to be on the sweeter side but as a spice lover, I like my sambal to bespicy. Apart from the sweetness, the sambal was served at a very small quantity which I believed to be the confusion by thestaff that day who seemed to be newly hired. The Laksa had the coconut creaminess and generous portions of servings inside. Icompletely understand the difficulty in sourcing blood cockles here, hence I appreciate the shrimps that are served as areplacement. Although I enjoyed the Laksa, which is my all time comfort food from home, I believe the flavour of the ?daunkesum? (Laksa leaves) could be stronger in the Laksa broth. For the Hokkien Mee, I was slightly disappointed as the brothseemed too watery and it lacked the thick prawn broth that I am used to from home. However, I completely understand that thetype of prawn shells used back home is completely different to the shrimps that we get here, hence explaining the disparity inboth of the broth types. A huge improvement would be the sambal to be served complimentary and be made spicier. Nevertheless, Iam very thankful to the fellow Singaporean owners for running this establishment that allows me to reminisce home Read more

Super friendly owners and we always enjoy the food when we?re in the area! Our go tos would be the hokkien mee, hor fun and... satay! Don?t skip out on the wok hei, as it makes the dishes. A little taste of home in the GTA :) Also, would highly recommendcoming with a group to get in on their chilli crab!! Read more

One of the most Traditional places to have Singaporean food. We ordered Laksa which is a coconut curry broth soup with egg... noodles. We also ordered the Carrot cake extra crispy. The food and service was absolutely amazing!! Read more

Ordered delivery last night via UberEats. The order arrived hot and bursting with deep aromas! We haven't been here in a long... time, so it was like trying everything new. We got: Rendang (with bone-in goat), Hainanese Chicken, Grilled Fish in banana leaf, and for dessert: Sticky Rice with mango. Review of each: 1. The Rendang was super flavourful! The other protein option isboneless beef BUT if you like game-ier meats I highly recommend the goat! It just adds even more flavour to the dish. 2.Hainanese Chicken was delicious. Comes with house-made sauces and the chicken was very fresh and tender. We wanted more. Nexttime will order the larger portion. 3. Grilled Fish in Banana Leaf: THE BEST DISH of the meal! Incredible flavour, spicy, andthe texture is crunchy on the outside, with tender and moist meat inside. Bones are edible. 4. Sticky Rice with Mango: classicpairing of sweet and sour/tart flavours! A bit smaller portion than I expected but the sticky rice is super filling. Can't waitto come back and try other dishes! Read more
