Had the opportunity to sit and savour time in the cafe with a friend. Service was warm and welcoming. Food and drinks delicious.... Highly recommend the high tea. More than enough for both of us. Read more
Just left this place I do not recommend coming here. For $75 I got a few different peices of bread and very little dessert... choices,also didn't even get to pick what kind of tea I wanted, food was bland, and had no taste it was my daughter's Birthdayand it was very disappointing she was upset and barely ate anything. A very disappointing Mother?s Day tea. My husband and our two boys decided to treat me to high tea 2 days before Mother?s Day as... the weekend was already sold out. We drove out from Chilliwack for it and I was very much looking forward to it. Things wentdownhill as soon as we were seated though. There was only one server. She didn?t say hello or greet us. She just put one tea poton the table and started to walk away. I?ve been to high tea other places and am used to getting a tea selection menu so Ithought this was strange and said we hadn?t ordered any tea yet. She said everyone gets the same thing. After a while she thenbrought our 3 tier tray of food. Again I found this very odd. Most places would first tell you whats included, make sure youdon?t have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Not here. When we booked it we told them we had two kids so I thought therewould be more kid friendly options, but it was all the same. The savoury food didn?t taste very good. Scones were dry. The sweettreats were decent at least. Not once did the server come and check on us or ask if we needed anything. We had to flag her downand ask for more tea when our pot ran out. She just added hot water (apparently paying $46 per person does not afford a secondpot of tea). It was super weak so we asked for another tea bag. She looked annoyed but brought us an open bag with loose tea init and just stuck it on the table. I didn?t make the move to add it to the pot myself so she got the hint and grabbed it andstuffed it in. We were also out of milk and sugar but she walked away before we could ask. When she finally came back we againhad to flag her down and ask for more. By this time most of the other guests had left and she was clearing tables so we feltrushed to chug the tea and get out before the next time slot of guests arrived. I just hosted a surprise party of 10 people for my mother-in-law's 70th bday and I couldn't be more satisfied! I booked the... entire conservatory - the room was bright, tastefully decorated and private, perfect for a gathering! The food was fresh anddelicious, their tea is to die for and the service was impeccable. Natasha, the owner, was super helpful and accommodating. "Sipand shop" is their motto: besides serving high tea, they also sell clothing and home decor.. I mean, do I need to say more? Ithink the price point reflects the experience, and to be honest, I wish there more gems like this in the Lower Mainland... it'sa breath of fresh air in an ocean of cookie cutter coffee shops.
