We thought the food was great! Dined twice, and service was wonderful. (We did find interesting that the bread and potatoes were... kind of stale but forgave it in the name of not being wasteful maybe????). The bison and beef steak were cooked perfectly andpaired well with their bottle of Bordeaux, and the Aurora cocktail was our favorite???? Read more

Seems like this listing is conflating two separate restaurants: the Fairview Lounge for casual dining and the Fairview... Restaurant, where afternoon tea is served. We tried both ? the Easter weekend tea service was certainly more memorable, but thelounge was fine too. If neither of these tickles your fancy there are three other restaurants on site, plus a pantry/tuck shopwith sandwiches and such. Read more

3.5 stars. My mom has wanted to experience afternoon tea at Lake Louise for over 30 years so on our upcoming trip to Banff I... knew this had to happen. We had a reservation on OpenTable for 12:45pm and had requested a table by the window as you're reallypaying for the view. Upon arrival we were told our table was occupied and were offered an alternate table as far from thewindow as you could possibly get. We agreed to wait and were asked to check in again in 20 minutes. We weren't seated until1:55pm (1 hour and 10 mins after our reservation) which is absolutely ridiculous as there should be some implemented time limitfor tables by the window (the group before us was seated at 12pm and took almost 2 hours to dine). As far as the actual teaexperience, the food was wonderful! The finger sandwiches were small but very good quality. We loved the lobster with caviar andthe prawn with caviar. They also had a cute tea timer to prevent you from oversteeping your tea and came around to refill hotwater at the perfect time. The dessert was buffet style and had a great selection of sweets which you could return to as manytimes as you like. And of course, the view of the lake was beautiful and somewhat made up for our incredibly long wait. Read more

We were able to get a reservation here for dinner with the hopes of having a meal with a view. Unfortunately we were seated away... from the window. Still had partial views which was nice. The shrimp appetizer was very good, but the main dishes we ordered werea little rough - small salmon filet that had a very dense/hard texture, and a steak served with some odd sauce that tasted likea mix of worcester and soy sauce. The bacon on the scallops was overcooked, causing an unpleasant burnt taste. The presentationwas nice and server was attentive. If you're lucky enough to get seated at one of the three tables next to the window, it mightmake up for the mediocre food. The food options in the bar area looked to be better, with ample window seating - maybe give thata shot instead. Read more

Pricey but worth experiencing it once. I don't think you can find a better view of lake Louise from any restaurant. Truly... breathtaking setting inside the Fairmont hotel. We went for the afternoon high tea. The menu that comes with the tea is set, however, they can swap couple items if you don't want it. All sandwiches and desserts are small one bite size and comes in threetier plate arrangement. Please look at pictures to understand the service, it is not your regular menu. Worth trying it once.
