I'll keep this short ONLY because people don't read long reviews...but we just got married at the Gates and we couldn't have... asked for a better venue! Ray and the entire team there took such great care of us. The food was absolutely AMAZING. We madea lifetime of memories that day and the Gates and their staff will always hold a special place in those memories. Highlyrecommend. I could write a book and how great they were! Hi there, I want to share my extreme disappointment with respect to our recent interaction/experience with The Gates on... Roblin. We tried booking The Gates on Roblin as a potential Bridal Shower Venue for approximately 120 ladies next May 2023. Myparents and I tried contacting Ray a few times over, with less than subpar customer service/professionalism over the phone and alack of communication via email. Simply stated, Ray was always ?too busy to talk? or in between meetings and never really hadtime to set aside for us. We were very kind and organized in our emails to him, as well, clearly outlining thedate/time/potential menu that we would have loved to have seen at the Bridal Shower. To this day, we have yet to receive aresponse from Ray after he told us he would get back to us ?after the weekend? (which was over 3 weeks ago now). If Ray wasunable to provide us with the customer service that we deserved, he should have handed us off to Nadine/or another BanquetManager that could have taken care of us. While we completely understand how busy this time of the year is for the hospitalityindustry (and post-pandemic), this should not be an excuse for a lack of customer service showed to potential customers that aretrying to book The Gates for a future event. The execution of current events at The Gates, alongside the booking of futureevents should be balanced and time evenly allotted to both things. The Gates on Roblin is supposedly ?held in high regard? as atop restaurant/venue in Winnipeg; however, our experience was very disappointing. The booking of a Bridal Shower is supposed tobe a memorable experience, as a Bridal Shower/Wedding are two of the most memorable days for a lady! This experience wasanything but positive! At this point, we will not be visiting the Gates on Roblin in the future (or recommending your venue tofamily/friends). I photographed a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony this past summer at the gates which went really smooth for the couple and as... a vendor. Ray was super friendly and helpful as well as the rest of the staff. It's a beautiful location and I'd highly considerit if you're having a nice rustic, elegant or intimate wedding. Read more
