Last night we had an amazing dinner from The Mermaid Eatery. I had the Jägerschnitzel with Spätzle. I don't know how they do... it. But the meat was so tender I didn't really even need a knife to cut it. I will definitely try that again. But there so manyamazing options on the menu. It's had to decide. Loved it! Read more

We got dinner take out, we did not sit down. We got fish and chips, pan fried halibut and Black Forest cake. The food was tasty,... but portions were surprisingly small. Thankfully, I was not very hungry, because if I was, I don?t think my portion would beenough. I can not say it was a good value for the price, we paid over $25 per person. But, like I mentioned, it tasted good, andthe cake was very good as well (not too sweet, which I normally struggle with in other places). Read more

We stopped by around 430pm on a Friday, the place was pretty empty. We came here with 5 adults, 4 kids and 1 dog. Service - 4/5... , we had a youg lady help us, she was very friendly and nice. She let us know as we were being seated that they don't havelobster rolls available because they were running low on lobster. She didnt know everything we asked about but went and gotanswers right away. She even brought some water for our dog, she did a good job Atmosphere - 4/5, the weather was really nice(and we had a dog with us) so we ate outside on the back porch. The scenery was was really nice with teh view of the cliff andthe water. There was some garbage out on the lawn/under the side of the deck. The restauraunt looks like its in an old house andthere is a bathtub in the bathroom which was a little weird but was very clean. Food - 2.5/5, the kids liked their meals (fishand chips, chicken fingers and chips, and cheese nachos) but unfortunately the rest of us not so much. We had 2 orders of theSeafood Fettuccini which were not very good, they had almost no lobster, a few very small scallops, and some very small shrimp. It also comes with a weird pink/red colour sauce that wasnt pleasing to us and they weren't hot at all. We also ordered thepork chops and peaches dish which was ok but the pork was overdone and unfortunately only came with few slices of peaches whichwere the best part. We had an order of lobster poutine which comes with a orange/red sauce that wasnt very tasty, the cheesecurds werent melted and there were only 4 very small pieces of lobster on top of it. We ordered a fish burger (just ok) withpotato salad (actually very good), and a burger (just ok) with fries (very good). Value - 2.5/5, the Seafood Fettuccini cost$30 but was no where near worth that for what you got and what it tatsed like. Same woth the lobster poutine at around $15-17with only 4 tiny pieces of lobster. The drinks were quite expensive as well, $6.50 for a mikes hard le Read more

Very nice variety, mixing German food and local seafood specialties. Service seemed a little slow and overwhelmed so hopefully... the staff can ramp up a bit better. For food, we had the pork schnitzel (very nice, crispy and flavourful), fish chowder (alittle heavy on the potato and needs some salt and hot sauce but the fish is nice), sauerbraten (sauce is good, andlingonberries were a nice touch), and bratwurst (I think it was just breakfast sausages so that was disappointing...). Howeverthe kids grilled cheese sandwich was genuinely delicious and we all wanted a bite! Read more
