Menu for Glenogle Mountain Lodge and Spa in Golden, BC

I agree with what everyone else is saying here, Doris and her husband are lovely people. However what the rest of these reviews... fail to mention is how insanely overpriced it is to stay here. The accomodation is advertised as a ?resort and spa? which couldnot be further from what it actually is. It is essentially a b&b at their home except you have to pay more for the breakfast. Wepaid over $700 for two nights for a room in the basement, that was not clean, that had a ?garden view? (which I?m sure once waslovely but has not been maintained and is overrun by weeds), and we didn?t even get a key to lock the room when we were out. Weare a young family and this vacation was a big deal for us, and instead of remembering the fun things we did on vacation, all Ican think about is how much money we wasted here and where we really could have used it instead. The host is absolutely amazing. She makes you feel like you are in a home away from home. The lodges decorations are... stunning. The rooms are so peaceful and quiet. Definitely a place to stay and you are located just a couple minutes from thedowntown hub. Much safer area with peace and quiet. Read more

The rooms were very clean. We loved our time here. Doris is an amazing cook and hostess. Her husband is wonderful as well. We... were guests in their home. If you want to get back to basics and get into nature this is a perfect spot. Do you remember whenpeople used to sit and talk to each other without the distractions of the Internet, television and gaming?? You can find thiswhen you stay here. Doris cooked us a fabulous meal we enjoyed our meal and drinks out on the their deck. Doris let me picktheir raspberries that were in the yard. My mom who has passed away and I used to always pick berries together. I had theopportunity to relive a cherished memory of my Mom surrounded by the beautiful mountains and wonderful fresh air. You aresurrounded by mother nature?s beauty. You can unplug from the busyness and noice of the Internet and TV and plug in to thepeople around you. Very friendly lady who owns the lodge. I have stayed here a couple times. It is a bit off the highway, but worth the drive to... get more into nature. The only thing that I would suggest is having a fan in the rooms. Read more
