It's our 2nd time going to Fairmont Hot Springs and the restaurant we went to last year was booked for an event so we ended up... at Bear's Paw. Service was great, food was great too. Also the convenience of them being open until 11pm is great, where youwouldn't have to rush your soak in the hot spring because restaurant is closing early. Anyway, my only critique is it's reallyexpensive. And for tipping, the lowest is 18%. It's way too high when you're already paying for a meal that's been jacked upprice already. Read more

Not accessible. Took my 93 year old Gran?ma here for lunch the other day. She had to climb a half flight of stairs with a very... poor handrail to get to the restaurant. After we finally got up the stairs we notice all the of tables and booths chairs werealso unusually high, there was no way she would have been able to climb up. There was only one table with normal seating and itwas right shoved in a corner right next to the hostess booth. The table was screwed to the floor so we couldn?t even move it tomake it easier for her to sit in the spot she wanted. The cup the coffee came in was chipped and the waitress wasn?t impressedshe wanted a new cup. The food wasn?t very good. We don?t know if was bad food and that?s why she threw up on the way home or ifit was something else. If you have mobility issues, avoid this restaurant at all costs! Really think the resort could rethinkthe accessibility to different areas of the resort, or at least make sure the hand rails on the stairs are not just for show butto actually support people to use the stairs safely. An excellent restaurant with all the standard fair, BUT served piping hot. It was oh so good. I didn't have the poutine, but I... had the fries and the gravy -- incredible! I can only imagine it with Quebec cheese curd--which they have. Will have to goback. Read more

Stopped in for lunch at the Bear's Paw Bar & Grill after a morning of swimming with the kids. It was fairly empty when we... arrived. We ordered the pickled Caesar along with the electric lemonade which were both quite tasty, although the picked Caesarwas a little too salty as brine juice from the pickles are used in the drink. The food was quite tasty as usual. The kidsenjoyed their grilled cheese and fries, even though the server screwed up the order as one of them ordered pasta, but was toohungry to wait for the proper order to be prepared, which they offered to do after realizing their mistake (not a huge deal). The resort salad with chicken was delicious, although there was a bit too much dressing. It was a good portion as well, but for$23 it better have been. The beef bul-go-gi with rice was prepared properly as I requested no onions or green peppers. It wasquite delicious as well and was a decent portion for $21. Again, typical resort prices (a glass of Coke was $5). Overall lunchran just over $100 without tip. Read more
