All around exceptional! We went to celebrate my friend’s birthday on the weekend. Our server was well informed on the menu and... great with service and timing. Food was delicious, I ordered prime rib which is one of my favourites stakes and my husbandordered New York steak which was cooked to perfection. We had a nice space just for our group. Elegant design and great taste in decor. Divided between a restaurant/dining area and a pub area with a bar which also has table... service. Our only complaint was that the creme brule was undercooked and tasted smokey but they made up for it by giving us ourdesserts for free. Service: great Cost: $$$ Read more
Furious fries were good, and that's where the good ends. Vegetable Tempura came in 2 massive clumps, impossible to share. Salt... and Pepper Chicken Wings were very disappointing for almost two bucks per wing. There was no salt and barely a sprinkle ofpepper. Escargot Stuffed Mushrooms were completely underwhelming with zero flavour. The mushrooms were quarters with stemsSTILL ATTACHED, basically sliced mushrooms with a bunch of flavourless greasy cheese on top. Server took the tempura back toshow the kitchen and offered a replacement. She asked if all of the mushrooms were pieces; they were. We had each tried 1 smallmushroom bit when she asked if she could also get us a new batch of them. She took the remaining half of the mushrooms back tothe kitchen then a bit later someone else came to tell us that they were out of mushrooms, so we couldn't have anymore. Alsohad a utensil bundle wrapped in a dirty napkin with a dirty fork inside. The place was not full or busy. Most people were justhaving drinks (in hindsight maybe for good reason). Creme brulae was out of this world good ???? ???? not to much not to little, my steak was cooked exactly as asked for and the... mushroom and broccoli sides looked exactly like advertised I was really impressed. I had that satisfied feeling afterwards wearI didn't feel beloted. Basically the meal was obviously made well with clean fresh ingredients. So presentation was very goodthat being said the sides didn't pop in terms of flavour ???? sortive mild or bland and the steak though made very well was alsonot worth the 50$ I paid for it maybe it needed a topping instead of a side either way I would call it quality well cooked meatwith little attention to seprate it from any other average steak I've had steaks at Boston Pizza that were on the same level aschops may e lower quality meat by flavour wise same thing shouldn't be that way..... otherwise drinks and cocktails were averageunless you allow the bartender to make one that's not a signature drink chops cocktail game isn't competitive with many downtown establishments.
