I have not eaten at this restaurant since maybe 2009 or 2010. My wife wanted to try it and I was hesitant of course. Last time I... ate here years ago , I didn?t enjoy it. Wow. To my surprise they renovated inside to a nice modern but cozy look. The food wasvery good and meat was very tender. Portions are very good and it?s affordable. Our waiter was very friendly, humble and made usfeel very welcome. In fact , he made our night even better with the small conversation we had with him. Our Soccer team (U9 girls Dollard Dragons) decided to hold our year end banquet at Au Vieux Duluth on St. Jean in DDO. I was... nervous as when you go with a big crowd the service can be painfully slow and disorganized. We were 56 people. Tasso, Spiroand the entire staff are so good at what they do it was like they were serving a table of four. The orders were taken quitequickly and easily and the plates arrived in a timlely manner and all within a few minutes of each other. Hot and tasty. Bothparents and kids enjoyed thier meals and the kids meals at $7.95 may just be the best deal in town. I highly reccomend them forbig or small events. Great job Au Vieux Duluth. Read more
