We eat here often. The staff is great and the service is always fast. We have never had a bad meal except once the wings tasted... freezer burnt. Our Fav spot to eat in Dartmouth. Read more
Went to Sam's seafood for haddock tips when we got them home they were hard as rocks and impossible to eat. The mashed potatoes... were so cold the butter wouldn't melt. So won't be back. Read more

I have been to Sam's several times and everytime I have been there I could hardly walk when I left as the portions were so... large. This time I ordered clams, fish and chips and although the quality and taste were great, the portions of what you get hasdecreased compared to what they used to be. I am only rating it a 4 for two reasons, one being the decrease in portion size andwhen we were there it seemed like there was only one waitress. Our waitress was great but was doing several jobs includingbusing her own tables which took her away from waiting on customers. To be fair, I do realize things are just starting to getback to normal and maybe they just don't have the staff on hand like they used to so I this is not a slight against Sam's in anyway. This is just something that I observed while we were there. I would still recommend Sam's and will continue to be acustomer as I do enjoy their food. //Update// I decided to give Sam's a try for breakfast which I had not done before. Iordered a Greek omelette and I was not disappointed. Given the quality of food, portion size and service I received on thisvisit, I am updating my rating to a 5 star. Went with my family, after spending the full day going back and forth with head server - making arrangements and when we showed... up, they couldn?t accommodate us. The owner/chef was panicking and pretty much in tears he was so overwhelmed. They turned usall away. Terrible experience. Customer service was terrible. And no one from our family/party will be back. It?s actually sadwe had this experience with this busy. They do not accommodate large groups and the customer service that day was terrible. Veryterrible business practices, wouldn?t recommend this restaurant for a group. And based on the way they treated us, I wouldn?trecommend them to anyone. Read more
