Ordered from skip the dishes they completely screwed up our order. The hash browns were supposed to have peppers and onions and... they didn't exist. The breakfast was supposed to include pancakes and they didn't exist. When I called they could care less theysaid to contact skip the dishes. Three of us around 5:30pm, not busy, about 15 customers max seated. Two of us ordered fish and chips, other one burger and... broccoli cheese soup. Took our drink orders which came ok. 15min later we get told there is no fish left and no broccoli soup.How can it take 15min to tell us they don't have what we want? We decided to leave, charged me $9 for two pops, waited another10min just to get the bill for the pops. They should have apologized and waived the drinks. Absolutely pathetic service. Willnever come back to this place. Been to many Ricky's restaurants never been disappointed, this one is the exception. Deserves 0stars. Read more
Wow....after reading some of the reviews I feel that we went to a different place....but I checked and it was really the same... place. To start when we first walked in the waiter was too busy chatting with a table to even acknowledge us then he walked pastus as if weren't there...the manager came and sat us then just left....after 4-5 mins the waiter came over and asked if we hadbeen served yet. If you are the only waiter don't you think you would know. We put in our order with our requested drinks thansat and waited at least 10 mins when we finally said enough of this kind of so called service we got up to leave at this pointthe waiter told us that our order has just been put in...I heard of slow but this is crazy...we will not be back ....your worstmistake was getting rid of Tammy. So went to eat breakfast at Rick's restaurant in Courtenay... Ordered the Benny... I have eaten here before and it was pretty... good... However this time is was awful.. Muffin was soggy... Guess the electricity was expensive too.. My sister ordered a sideof hollandaise sauce.. She said it was gross.. So we sent it back. Mine was awful as well but I was hungry.. When we told thewaiter it tasted like oil. He apologized and took it away.. Then he come back to explain we are just not used to have REALhollandaise sauce.. thiers is made from real eggs and oil.. OIL??? Um no hollandaise is made with butter... He then explains youknow the cost of food is so high they have to try to keep the prices down and therefore oil... OK. Yes I am foodie... I can makehollandaise sauce from scratch to perfection... If I had to sub butter it would be margarine or I would use a package mix..Being told how expensive food is (I did notice the prices on the menu that's kind sir..) Yup.
