From takeout: The batter is crispy and very tasty. Quality and freshness was not an issue. I ordered a captain platter for... around 25.00 and it was about eighty to ninety percent fries. The fries were pretty good and so were the onion rings. Depending on the fish it's either a 3 oz or 6 oz piece. So the meals do fill you up, but it's definitely not from too muchfish. There are some great dine in restaurant deals that might make it a better value. I added a side order of clam strips. Theywere good and crispy like everything here, but most of the strips were barely an inch at best. They have a very dry coleslawthat might appeal to those that dislike very creamy kinds. Read more
We had the shrimp plate, commander ( mixed fish/seafood) and halibut, everything was very good. It was a Saturday and it was all... you can eat shrimp, great deal. They have specials every night. The batter on the fish was crisp and no too heavy, just perfect.The prices are competitive, great for the quality of food you get. Read more
Fantastic fish'n'chips! I had the haddock - my second time at Captain Georges and it is definitely my favorite! I ride in from... Montreal just for that .... it's worth it! We've ordered out from here at least a dozen times without any issues. Today we ordered again, same thing we always get. An hour... later still no food so we called and asked. So they told us a story that they've been getting prank order calls where nobodyactually answers or pays for the food so they claimed they tried calling us to confirm, which they actually never did call us toconfirm. Then they back tracked and told us the person who's been prank ordering them has the same name as us so they never madeand shipped our order, without even telling us. What HORRIBLE service and an even worse business practice. Shame on them and Iwill NEVER order from such a Mickey mouse operation again. I hope the owner sees this and if he has any care in the world abouthis LOYAL customers who have spent a lot of money there , he'll do the right thing and make sure this doesn't happen to anotherloyal customer that they will lose.
