Just dined here with my wife for the first time. There was a bit of a wait but it wasn't that bad. When we were being seated we... were given the option to sit at a taller table with bar type stools or at a normal table. My wife is pregnant so she decided tostay closer to the ground amd go with the normal table. We appreciated the care the waitress took right away. The waitress wasvery polite and friendly the entire time and checked in once in a while to see if we needed anything. I believe she was fairlynew there but we were impressed with her hospitality the entire time we dined. We ordered a half prosciutto, half Margheritapizza to start. The pizza was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of char on the crust. My wife ordered the seafoodcannelloni and I ordered the ricotta cheese and spinach tortellini. The pasta itself was delicious and was perfectly chewy. Thefilling was smooth and flavorful. Both portion sizes were good as well. We noticed that they had just put out a lemon blueberrycheese cake and since our 2 kids were back at home having fun we decided to indulge a little. The cheese cake was nice andcreamy and a nice way to end the evening. When we got back home we told our friends about the food and the experience andrecommended that they try this place out as well. Hidden gem in the neighbourhood. I have lived 5 mins away for 10 years and have only just come here (that?s my bad) but my... goodness it was excellent. The food is clearly made with love and fresh ingredients and the service was equally caring andgenuine. Our server (hopefully I caught his name right) Jacob was amazing. We shared their Pollo panini, Marenello pizza andpistachio cheesecake with some Italian beers during the meal and an espresso to finish it off with the dessert. Everything wasfantastic or should I say ?strabiliante?. The Service was superb A+. The Caprese Salad was a 2/10 what a mess honestly I would be embarrassed serving this dish. The free... bread was nothing special. On the other hand the Napoli Pizza was great no complaints. For the main dishes we ordered gnocchiand vodka penne. The gnocchi came out looking like slop on a plate no garnish just an ugly plate of pasta fortunately the dishwas tasty. Lastly the Vodka Penne. The presentation was better but still came out like slop on a plate. They charge a decentamount and I would expect a better effort in the presentation. In addition the portion sizes were not good. One plate of pastawouldn?t fill you up. Come on man your Nona would give you the wooden spoon for serving portions this small. There?s no pride inthe food they?ve become complacent. The tomatoes were not heirlooms they?re the cheap ones you get from superstore and thecheese was rubber and the dish was bland. The best part of the meal was the service. Read more
