Upon entering the hotel you're hit with either the smell of weed or that old-hotel smell; despite this, the room was quite... pleasant and the bathroom very modern. The shampoo and conditioner are lovely, but the ac doesn't work. At checkout I wanted tochange the name on the room so the receipt would be under my travel partners name but the hotel clerk told me they couldn'tchange it after check in. I didn't argue, but as a former front desk clerk who used the same system they do - you 100% canchange the name after check-in. You can even change it after checkout. Rooms were very clean and staff was friendly. Seems like the rooms were recently renovated and have nice finishes. Deducted a... star since Carmacks water can be a bit "funky." Don't think the hotel can do anything about that. View isn't the best either. Read more

Hotel connected to pub/lounge where you can register after office hours. Staffing is a challenge and so attempt to reserve via... email received no response because there was nobody to attend to that. But room was clean and place is quiet. Read more

We stayed at the RV campground. The sites were small and lacked any privacy. If you're expecting to access wifi, go sit in the... hotel bar because it doesn't reach the campsites. The water smelled funny so we didn't drink it. We were told later there was awater boil order. Doesn't that mean you shouldn't shower or wash dishes in it? We weren't told that. Also, we were not allowedto dump because the high water of the Yukon River was affecting the city's waste system, yet we didn't get a discount for NOTgetting full hookups? It was a disappointing experience all around, and I can never recommend this place to anyone. Read more
